Catalog

Six workshops.

Every workshop can run privately for your team or as a public session.

Full day · hands-on

Build an agent delivery harness for your team

Engineering leads and senior engineers

Go from ad-hoc prompting to a delivery system: phase-gated skills, specialist subagents, a worktree per ticket and complexity gates that keep humans in charge.

What you leave with
  • A working harness running on one of your own repositories
  • Repo conventions your agents and engineers both follow
  • Review and approval rules your security and platform teams can sign off on
Half day

AI spend governance: gateways, budgets and model routing

Engineering directors, platform teams and finance partners

Put every model call through a gateway, give teams budgets, route routine work to cheaper models and forecast spend to fiscal year-end.

What you leave with
  • A LiteLLM gateway design with virtual keys and per-team budgets
  • A spend report by team, model and month, with a year-end forecast
  • Default models and caching settings that cut cost without slowing anyone down
Half day

Measuring AI-era engineering without surveillance

Engineering managers, directors and VPs

Measure at-bats, adoption and friction alongside DORA and DX Core 4, in a way engineers trust: team-level by default, visible to the engineer first, never used to rank people.

What you leave with
  • An at-bats definition and an initiative board for your org
  • A harness-practices scorecard: caching, context hygiene, model fit, shared knowledge
  • A rollout plan and the communication that goes with it
Half day

Leading small teams where agents do real work

Engineering managers and team leads

Team shape, rituals and coaching when agents absorb throughput: smaller pods, wider scope, every engineer an agent manager, and candor about how roles change.

What you leave with
  • A team topology for human pods, agent squads and a platform team
  • A coaching plan for agent-management skills
  • Operating rules for agents your team writes together
Full day · hands-on

From meeting to merged PR: the business-driven build loop

Product and engineering leadership teams

Turn a planning conversation into epics and stories with a revenue hypothesis, have agents build them, and track the result on an initiative board.

What you leave with
  • A meeting-to-backlog pipeline with consent and retention built in
  • Hypotheses, metrics and targets attached to every initiative
  • A board that shows which bets won, which didn't and what was learned
Half day

Leading people through the AI transition: stress, silence and staffing

Engineering managers, directors and VPs, with their HR partner

AI changed how engineers work faster than it changed how they're led. Learn to spot three responses to threat (building alone without asking for help, certainty without understanding, and freezing in place), coach each one, and make clear staffing and hiring decisions without losing the team's trust.

What you leave with
  • A shared way for your leadership team to name these patterns without labeling people
  • Coaching conversation scripts for each pattern
  • A decision guide for when to coach, reshape a role or part ways
  • A hiring profile and an interview exercise for your next role

Questions

Workshop FAQ

How many people can attend?
Tell me the group size and format and I'll recommend the right setup. Hands-on days work best when everyone can get help on their own repository.
Remote or on-site?
Either. On-site anywhere in the world, or remote with the same exercises.
Do we need to use Claude Code?
No. The patterns carry across tools; examples use Claude Code and LiteLLM.
What do attendees need to bring?
Each workshop page lists it. For hands-on days: a laptop and a repository they can work in.
What's the AI agent support?
An AI agent built on the workshop material answers attendees' questions during the workshop and for two weeks after, while the new habits take hold.
Can you combine a talk and a workshop?
Yes. A keynote for the whole group plus a workshop for the people who will run it is a common offsite format.
